| What to expect on Professional Accreditation Programme days |

The base-line day The base-line day is a requirement for all who wish to become LTL accredited. It provides everyone with a grounding in the use, design and management of the outdoors. Our delegates come from a range of backgrounds. The day aims to ensure a shared understanding of the LTL approach to this area of work. It is also an excellent opportunity for sharing ideas and experiences.
You can choose to attend a day focused on either Early Years or School Grounds. |

Training Delivery Skills This day is required for all who wish to gain the LTL accredited trainer status and follows on from the base-line days. It’s aim is to provide professionals with the knowledge and skills in training techniques and enable them to use LTL resources to deliver training. It provides a foundation in understanding ways in which people learn and therefore how LTL training is structured to support this. It is a day to help you deliver training to adults.
These days are not specific to each sector and you can attend after completing either of the base-line days.
Facilitation Skills This day is required for all who wish to gain the LTL accredited facilitator status and follows on from the base-line days. It looks at ways of working with all the members of the community of a school or setting so that they can successfully input into a grounds development project. A range of facilitation techniques are tried out and their application to the development of the outdoor spaces of schools and settings investigated. The day is aimed to prepare professionals for direct contact with schools or settings, including undertaking site visits and writing reports on behalf of LTL.
These days are not specific to each sector and you can attend after completing either of the base-line days.

Accreditation Accreditation is separate from and in addition to the training days. Once you have attended at least two days training (one of which must be a base-line day) and become a professional member, you can choose to become an LTL accredited Early Years trainer and/or facilitator – then join our network of accredited professionals.
To work in the Early Years sector you must have attended:
EY baseline + Facilitator = EY facilitator
EY baseline + trainer = EY trainer
To work with Schools you must have attended: SG baseline + facilitator = SG facilitator
SG baseline + Trainer = SG trainer
If an individual needs to qualify in SG and EY they will need to attend both base-line days but once you have attended the relevant base-line day you do not need to repeat it.
