29 June: Site Visit to The Coombes Primary School, Berkshire Internationally renowned for its innovative approach to learning outdoors pupils and staff will introduce you to the school, its ethos and history and provide a flavour of what it means to take lessons outdoors across a range of curriculum areas. www.thecoombes.com
30 June: Site Visits to schools in the South East of England Each delegate will be taken on a tour of two contrasting, exemplar schools that have developed their grounds in inspiring and innovative ways
1 July: Sharing good practice from around the world A celebration of what is happening around the world in school grounds. School grounds professionals from Europe, America, Australia and Africa have been invited to join us to tell us about their work

Practicalities: The conference is based in Winchester from where transport to all schools will be provided (cost included in the booking fee). For an additional cost we can arrange accommodation, dinner and/or breakfast for the nights of 28, 29 and 30 June.
29 June Start 8.30am (bus from either Winchester or Reading). Return to Winchester approx 5pm Travel by bus from Winchester or Reading station. Refreshments, including a picnic lunch, will be provided.
30 June Start 8.30am (bus from Winchester). Return 6pm Transport will leave Winchester to visit two schools in the south east region. Information will be provided about each school. Refreshments, including lunch, will be provided.
1 July Registration and refreshments from 9am. Presentations from 9.30am. Finish 5pm The venue - theUniversity of Winchester- is approximately 15 minutes walk from Winchester station. All refreshments will be provided.
What happens if it rains? We will endeavour to be outside as much as possible on 29 and 30 June, so please be prepared for all weather conditions - plus an umbrella large enough to accommodate yourself and a child. The British summer can never be relied upon!
Getting to Winchester Train There are direct trains from London, Waterloo that take approximately one hour. There is then a 15 minute walk to the university – or taxis are available from the station. The Winchester direct line also runs from Bournemouth, through Birmingham to the north. Air The nearest airport to Winchester is Southampton. Trains to Winchester take about 10 minutes. Trains from LondonHeathrowAirport takes about 1 hour 45 minutes. Trains from LondonGatwickAirport take about two hours.
