Forest school ideas
A selection of Forest School ideas for teachers and educators.
Forest School is a particular pedagogy and approach to learning. It has been a growing movement across Europe for a number of years.
While many schools implement a ‘pure’ Forest School approach that is child-led, play facilitated and deeply rooted in forests, many schools now take an inspiration from what Forest School aims to achieve. At LtL we believe that there is no ‘right’ approach, other than the one which works for your learners and setting. Our approach tends to be more Curricular linked, using whatever school grounds or local greenspace that can be accessed.
Below are a selection of activities which could be used as prompts for a true Forest School approach, or indeed can support Forest Kindergarten in Early Years.
