[ONLINE] Any Kinder Garden can embrace nature, for children’s, adult’s as well as planet Earth’s sake
Josefina Prieto, Naturalizar at Fundación Ilumina, Chile.
The Naturalizar programme in Chile has been implemented at 100+ public schools since 2012. Most of the schools are located on urban areas with little or no access to nature.
Josefina will share hopeful and inspirational lessons learnt from educators and assistants in Chile. The aim is to spread a hopeful message amidst a challenging 2021, encouraging us all to bring nature back to our settings for the sake of children, teachers and planet Earth.
Josefina Prieto has been co-creating Naturalizar at Fundación Ilumina – the first Outdoor Learning Early Childhood Program in Chile – since 2011.
She teaches outdoor learning and play to pre-service teacher training students and has just founded a consultancy, e-spiral, which aims to interweave education with nature at schools and universities.
Josefina leads the Outdoor Classroom Day movement in Chile and works in collaboration with the University of Edinburgh.
