Communications and Digital Campaign Lead

“I know outdoors is the best place for us all, preferably with soil under our fingernails!”

About Bec

When did you start working for LtL and what does your job involve?

I started working for Learning through Landscapes in September 2020, during the Covid-19 crisis, I’m yet to meet any of my colleagues in person!

As Communications and Digital Campaigns Lead I make sure our great work is being shouted about online and in press.  Learning through landscapes has always delivered fantastic projects and campaigns, I’m lucky to get to share the success far and wide.

The 3 experiences that have best equipped you for this role?

I have a degree in photography so I can select and commission the perfect photographs to help tell our stories.

I studied horticulture and wax lyrical to anyone who will listen about the wonders that connecting with soil, plants and nature has done for my mental health. I know outdoors is the best place for us all, preferably with soil under our fingernails!

I’ve been lucky enough to work with some fantastic organisations that all value our connection with the natural world – Kew Gardens, the Chelsea Fringe Festival, and the Orchard Project.

Bec’s LtL Experience

Why a beautifully organised garden shed?

Living in London I’ve had to wait a long time to have a patch of green of my own to tend. I’m now lucky enough to have my own small green space to grow my own fruit, vegetables and plants.
