Beelines workshop 1
15th October 2020 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pmFree
Beelines workshops are fully funded outdoor learning events that will inspire and equip you as a teacher to lead changes to the benefit of Pollinators in school grounds. You will hear experts in this field and be encouraged to undertake practical outdoor learning activities.
At the end of the workshop, you will hear about how you can apply for financial support to make changes in your school grounds if you are within the South Downs National Park.
The activities will be child-friendly ways to assess what you already have and how it might in improved for pollinators. We will look at soil, planting, ecology, and creative learning activities. You will be supported with signposting to FREE resources which you can use in school after you attend the session.
Teachers have told us that assessing their own environments and making changes can “move young people from pollinator extinction frustration to action“. This enables students to understand the issues in more depth and link to solutions
Outdoor Learning outcomes:
- know how to apply for the funding support through the Beelines project
