Free online workshop: Planting for Pollinators in School Grounds

10th May 2022 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Pollinator

Join us at this free digital teacher meeting with Learning through Landscapes on the XPolli:Nation project.

The meeting is aimed at school staff wanting to do more planting for pollinators with their students.

Led by Dr Poppy Lakeman from Imperial University, we will cover how to support pollinating insects by providing them with the right habitat. We will share our top tips for simple changes you can make to your garden or patch, selecting which plants to grow to support pollinators and various maintenance considerations.

During the second half of the workshop, we will focus on communicating and inspiring friends, family, and others in your community to help protect pollinators. We will hear from our teacher lead about the Pollinator Promise campaign and creative ideas about how you can spread the message to protect pollinators.

During this teacher meet you will have the opportunity to:

  • Meet and talk to other teachers about their experiences
  • Hear from a scientist working in the field of biodiversity and in particular pollinator conservation
  • Gain access to further resources and information to support your practice

This project is a Learning through Landscapes Partnership project called XPolli:Nation. For more information on this project visit X-Polli:Nation.
