Harnessing the power of horticultural and talking therapies to improve wellbeing.
Space to grow
Horticultural and talking therapies are at the heart of this project which aims to improve the wellbeing of children and young people with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties. We are particularly keen to work with young people enrolled in Pupil Referral Units (PRUs), Special Schools (SS) and Alternative Provision Institutions (APIs) in England. Once our project is established, our intention is to roll it out across the UK.

How it works
Horticultural and talking therapies are at the heart of this project which aims to improve the wellbeing of children and young people with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties enrolled in Pupil Referral Units (PRUs), Special Schools (SS) and Alternative Provision Institutions (APIs) in the UK (initially in England).
As part of the project we intend to train teachers to deliver curriculum aims outdoors, and will support participants to experience the benefits of outdoor play and learning. A key feature of our plans is to inspire individuals and settings to transform their grounds and through this to be inspired by time spent outdoors.
