Nurturing Nature Early Years

Nurturing Nature Early Years

This is a venture that encourages parents to be involved not only with the nursery but to spend quality time outdoors with their child.

The 8 sessions are led weekly, off site from the nursery, in a relaxed and engaging manner.

Staff, parents and the children go on this journey together. It is very child and parent led. The course has now been proven over three years and hundreds of families. The sessions improve child health and wellbeing, raise parental engagement with child and the nursery, nurturing stronger relationships between all.

The course embraces the Early Years Collaborative and EYFS by starting small and growing big!

Staff develop the confidence to run the project themselves with support from our staff, and nursery staff are left equipped to run the programme again themselves. This self-sustaining outcome is key, allowing nurseries to use the tool again in the future.

Often parents from the first course become parent helpers, further building community links and relationships.

Simple in design, our experienced project workers help support relationships and craft the activities carefully. Courses are usually based in a single setting, accommodating upto a dozen sets of parent and child. Our expert staff lead the course and coach nursery staff in tandem.

A full day introduction with nursery staff, 8 sessions, all preparation and travel upto 100miles round trip, as well as our famous 'outdoor resource trolley' is included in the cost. Cost as of April 1st 2018 is £6085+vat.

If your setting or authority would like to host one of these courses, please speak to our Training and Development Team on gfl@ltl.org.uk and 01786 465 934.
